Um 944 por 6K euros, sera que alguem sabe os custos de legalizacao em Portugal???
O enviu nao custa muito, ja enviei um carro por menos de 2k euros.
</SPAN>I am going to wait until Spring, unless I can close a quick, easy, local deal here, so here it goes. Some of you know the car, and I'm not afraid to have the input good and bad.
Basic specs are:
1988 944 n/a (short 5th gear and slight HP bump over '87)
Pretty basic options package. No LSD, no rear wiper.
Guards Red (shocker), black interior. Paint is darn good - turns heads in a good way.
Interior is very good. No dash cracks. Very original. Clock works.
Seats replaced with Recaro SRD (recline).
77,777 miles (I fabricated the last two digits, but it'll be there soon). There are not many 5-digit 944s left on the planet.
Lots of records from the invoice right up to present. Some gaps back in the 1990s.
Top and front engine re-seal by Intersport at 74,000. No oil leaks. (P/S fluid doesn't count as oil, right?)
New clutch April 2009, Convenience Car Car (Timmy Tyrrell)
Timing belt, water pump done at 65,000 miles.
Superb A/C.
Track oriented upgrades:
Recaro SRD seats with sub-belt hole.
Redline bolt-in roll/harness bar.
Two sets G-Force 6 point harnesses dated 6/09, installed.
Bilstein Escort Cup Coilovers (rear t-bars deleted).
Front springs 400# rears are 600#. Yes it's a FIRM ride.
Delrin bushings:
- Torsion bar end plates
- Front and rear sway bar bushings
Front and rear 968 MO6 sway bars (rear is adjustable)
Ground Control camber plates
KLA strut tower brace
Light fiberglass bumpers, front and rear (OEM bumpers and shocks included)
Stainless braided, outer coated brake lines
Street brake pads are barely worn. Hawk HT10s are at 60%.
NIB Performance Friction front brake pads. Won't need them 'til 2012!
My build standard was to make the best track car using the best available hardware that was capable of livable trips to and from the track + weekend jaunts. This car can be brought back to stock configuration and probably generate $1,500 in the process.
I'm going racing next Spring (Spec Race Ford) and this 944 deserves to be on the track! Happy to offer test drives and visits.
Dorki-Dealing at $6,600 firm. Yes that's on the high end of 944 n/as, but this is as good as a trackable 944 gets. And if so inclined you could make it a concourse-worthy survivor. Pic below shows fiberglass bumpers. Front one is currently satin black, not red. Those wheels and tires are already sold. Sorry.
